Its not all glamour.
Estate agents staff deal with thousands of Tenants and Purchasers and hundreds of Landlords or Vendors each year. Our clients found that much of their staff time was being spent in routine administrative work.
Prospective Tenants or Purchasers would phone to ask a lot of questions about Properties for rent or sale, and to make appointments.
A significant percentage of Appointments were no-shows, or they weren't interested when they saw the property. When a prospective Tenant/Purchaser wanted to apply for a Property, they would come into the office to fill in forms, occupying counter staff for 30-90 minutes, and having to take time off work themselves.
Landlords would phone asking for copies of letters, Account details etc. Tenants would phone asking for copies of Corgi certificates, report Repairs and generally ask basic questions.
On the Sales side, things could be even worse. By transfering a lot of this part of the property transaction to the web, forward thinking agents can free up valuable time. By making this process as maintenance free as possible further expense is also saved.
Ultimately, more listings, more commissions.
